I’m only able to see fully vaccinated people. Please bring your vaccination certificate with you (on the Service NSW or Medicare app if you have it) so that I can record the date of your second (or third or fourth if you’ve had a booster) dose.

I have temporarily removed online booking as I am keeping 30 minute gaps either side of each patient to reduce contact and give me time to disinfect. Please try to not be too early for your appointment as it undermines this system. Please email me directly with preferred times so that I can book you in.

Please also let me know if you have any symptoms, or have been near anyone with any symptoms so that we can reschedule your appointment until it is clear that you aren’t infectious. Despite the new rules, I am not seeing close contacts until it is clear that they are not infected.

I am now fully vaccinated (and boosted with the bivalent version) but I will still be wearing a mask during treatments and asking you to do the same - please don’t be offended as this is a universal precaution and nothing personal.

This is the clinic of Michael Alcott, providing Bowen Therapy, Lymphatic Drainage and Remedial Massage by limited appointments only.

Michael

Michael has been practising in and around the CBD for 15 years.

He trained in Remedial Therapies at Nature Care College at St Leonards, completing extra units in Lymphatic Drainage at the same time. He then completed his Bowen Therapy training through the Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia and Border College of Natural Therapies. He also holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

He is a member of the Bowen Association Australia and the Australian Traditional-Medicine Society.

Pricing

If you're unsure how long you'll need for a treatment, please contact me to find out - I'd rather have too much time than too little! All Bowen sessions are charged at the 45 minute rate but please book an hour. All prices include GST.

Payments

You can pay using your debit/EFTPOS, Visa, MasterCard or American Express (no surcharge), or with good old cash.

Massage

You can pay with your private health fund card via Tyro, which is like HICAPS only quicker.

Please check with your fund to make sure your level of cover allows you to claim for massage.

Please note: HCF does not support electronic claiming for massage. If you are an HCF member you will need to manually submit a claim after your treatment.

Bowen Therapy

The federal government has made the short-sighted decision to prevent the health funds from paying rebates on “natural” therapies, and this includes Bowen Therapy. From April 1st 2019 (yes, they are starting on April Fool’s Day), you will no longer be able to claim a rebate for Bowen Therapy. Please do not ask me to bill Bowen Therapy as Remedial Massage as this constitutes fraud in the eyes of the private health insurers, and the funds retain the right to inspect records at any time.
